Brembo Brake Calipers

Post by Nigel »

Having trouble finding replacements for my 97 S4 V3. Calipers fitted to some Ducati models look like they are the same, but I'm not certain, can anybody advise? Thanks, Nigel

Measure the centres of the mounting bolts. Be precise, 63mm and 65mm is a different size.

Many thanks, pretty sure both are 65mm, but I will double check. Nigel

If that's right then you are in luck as 65mm is a standard Brembo size. You could get the calipers off any number of italian bikes and fit them. 998, RSV, Tuono... if they look right they are right as there's only 40 or 65 mm available and they don't look the same even in an eBay ad.

Example, these are 65mm:

These are 40mm:

Compare how the 65's have mountings on the bottom, the 40's have mountings on the front.
