RVF/VFR adapter/riser plates + Lathe

Post by doodleface » Wed Jul 25, 2012 9:34 am

Just FYI - I'm also buying a metal lathe this week.
so...

Hey guys, I needed to make some riser/adapter plates for my RVF to fit my new rearsets n shit. Since they are for racing I really only wanted a small adjustment, but I wanted them to be strong.

They took very little time to make, I made them out of 10mm alloy, drilled and tapped them to an M8 thread which is pretty fucking standard.

They worked perfectly, and now sit in the roughly same position as tyga rearsets.
If anyone would like me to make you some please just ask, I wont charge much, and it will give me something to do. They wont be super pretty, but they will be identical in position and strong as fuck. I'm using mine right now.

I'm also buying a metal lathe shortly, so I'll be able to make billet footpegs or other parts.
Apologise for the poor photo quality.

You might notice they are a little different but I was trying a different way of cutting the plates, anyway I've bought a special alloy cutting machine on the cheap so I'll standardise it later. Anyway, if anyone one wants shit made, let me know.

These plates fit these rearsets: ( I also machined my own spacer too but, the one that comes with them is too big IMO)
