NC35 won't start, doesn't Clutch start :(

Hi again guys!!!

Filled up my baby with 98 octane as per usual at the exact same garge always on Wednesday. (not sure if this is part of the problem but)When I rode it home and jumped off the bike I noticed that the bike was trickling fuel front the underside of fuel tank out of this little specific hole nxt to the fuel tap. Trickled for a couple of mins then stopped. Next bike works fine.

Friday comes around fuel at 90%, riding riding riding and it starts sputtering to a dead stop. Thought it was on reserve (it wasnt)so flicked it to reserve and put choke on and it started for about 30secs rode for about ten secs before sputtering again and now since then won't start.

3weeks ago service with changing the spark plugs, fluids and whatnot. Tried clutch starting to no avail.

My mechanic friend without looking at it said maybe the carbies need a clean. when switched to on to start the bike, its as if the off/run switch is off and just firing but no start

Any help is much appreciated guys!!!

Faulty diaphragm in the fuel tap or vacuum hose?

Sounds like the bike is not getting fuel.

Have you checked the tap to confirm it does flow when required?

From the fuel tap there are two hoses, larger one for fuel to the carbies , the other smaller one is vacuum from the carby. With tap ON and sucking on smaller hose fuel should flow from larger hose. Take care in case fuel flows from the small hose when sucking.

If there is vacuum leak when sucking check that hose is not split etc.

Fuel from the small hose means diaphragm is fault.

No flow from the large hose also means diaphragm fault.

Just to add - there are 2 smaller spigots - the outer one is the vacuum one. The inner is a drain..so don't suck it!

I got a tyga kit on it right. So i take the tail end and seat off yeah, low and behold.

Off the fuel tap I witness there is a little hose just hanging there off the tap. I looked back at this forum and u guys didn't really say the vacuum hose should be connected to anything but still didn't look right. Sucked on it as u said with the tap off, solid as, in fact I could actually hear the diaphragm clicking back and forth. So I'm like sweet!!!

After about 10 mins of searching of where the bloody hose fits into. Found it!!! The side of the rear right cylinder. F@$& yeah. Plugged it in. Word to your mother!!! V4 scream baby!!!

Please excuse the language as this was the first time I "kinda fixed" something on my own for my baby and had such a mad feeling!!! I'm stilled g'd up.

The hose Never flew off before all I can think off is the service it had 3 weeks ago and the guy didn't put it on properly. Then again there isn't a clip at the connection points either.
