Ignitech - Does it negate the speedo restriction?

Post by lukemillar » Fri Jul 13, 2012 8:46 pm

Hey all,

I spent a day at the track tuning my carbs yesterday and have an apparent lose of power at the top end. I think it is because my mains are too small, but looking at the logged top speed, and it never goes above 180kph, which coincidentally is the speed restriction limit!

The only other change I made is swapping the CDI to an Ignitech as the OE one blew and so I also removed the resistor mod as I seem to recall you not needing it. Is this correct?

Just want to cover all bases before ordering jets!

Thanks
Luke

I should also add that the unit is running the updated maps that fix the top end power loss!
