well i think i've stuffed the ignition control box ...i had a problem with my fan on the nc21 it was k*****d so i got one off a guy in Nottingham fitted the rad/fan i had allready done a check on the wiring and it had no live feed at the fuse box, so i thought i would jump a feed off one of the wires in the f/box to the fuse for the fan, the wire i used was the ignition/starter feed, i linked it through the fuse for the fan system i then started the bike up on choke it ran for about 2 mins tops then it stopped .....nothing on ignition no oil light or neutural light and starter dead the main fuse is ok and the head lights (day running lights ) are ok they have power ...i have had a look at a few wiring diagrams for this model and nc30 and from what i gather it has burnt the control box out does this sound right ? and is there anything ellse i should be looking at ? any help will be greatly recived.

Re: NC 21 electrics
It sounds like you have lost power to the ignition circuit, does not necessarily mean that the ignition control unit has failed.
Has the ignition fuse blown? Given your fan power problems and now ignition power issue, suggest that the ignition switch, fuse box and/or wiring needs to be investigated. Linking circuits within the fuse box to get power IMO should not be considered a reliable solution.

Re: NC 21 electrics
Hi Magg thanks for the reply m8t,i've had a sleep so i'm going to attack it today with a fresh head
the bodge job was a temporary fix to see if the fan would work when the engine was warm i intended to find a more perminant fix if the fan kicked in has it should, i'm going to go through everything again today, all the fuse's i can find are ok including the 30 amp one, i'm going to have a look at the multi plug (6 contact ) from the fuse box to the loom as i've had that apart, if the connector was not clicked shut it might have come apart with turning from lock to lock with the bars, that would cause total ign failure.
anybody ellse have any ideas what to look out for?

Do you have a wiring diagram, if not I have a copy for an NC24 which appears to be similar i.e. 6 pin connector at the ignition switch.
