GK76A No Spark
Garaged it last night after a nice ride and went to get it out today no luck, pulled the plugs and it seems i have no spark at all on any cylinders
. I dont have a multimeter and dont belive both coils decided to give up together.
The box on the left in the pic marked omron is getting pretty warm, what is it and could this be the problem? Im really scratching my head on this what should i be checking? And does anybody know if a manual is availabe anywhere for these bikes? Everything else seems to be working fine just wont start.

Re: GK76A SP No Spark
if it start up after awhile, inconsistent, check your pick up coil aka pulse coil.

Re: GK76A SP No Spark
Do you have a picture of that?
I have an intermittent fault on my bike that's proving elusive to track down, so I might replace the pick up coil to eliminate that as a possibility.

Re: GK76A SP No Spark
ok first of all thanks for your replys so far, just finished taking everthing back off and got my multimemer.
Both wires on both coils are showing 12.8v with the ignition on(not turning it over) the orange and white wires in the photo.
when turning the bike over and putting the meter on the end of the ht lead with the spark plug out i get nothing.
so i have power going to both coils but nothing getting to the plugs, anybody know how i can check the cdi is working? and all suggestions welcome

Re: GK76A SP No Spark
You should measure the resistance of the coils using the ohms setting on your multimeter.
If you get about 3ohms, they're good. Any higher and they're breaking down, any lower and there's a short.
