ive just had an almost identical problem on my nc30 which had been standing for some time,
i tried a few electronic bits and pieces to no avail, but after removing and cleaning the cabs (after following cam's guide) the bike now starts and runs like a dream.. for the cost of a tin of carb cleaner its got to be worth a shout.
good luck!

Well i ordered all the parts to service it, including carb cleaner so ill clean them when there off! Really dreading taking them off though. Any tips/ tricks for servicing these bikes? Not the easiest thing to work on so any help would be more than welcome! Cheers!

hey ppl , i have a nc30 that doesn`t want start- removed carb`s and they are clean coils are firing( i know this because i made the mistake of touching the d#mn plug wires while pushing start button, shocking surprise!!!) but it still doesn`t start- checked timing on cams and crank pully all seems fine.
ANY ONE WHO HAS ANY INFO - PLEASE HELP i feel like i want to throw it off a cliff

hi chaps ,seems we have a common problem,i've done everything you have, and no3 still causes running problems,if you pull the plug cap off whilst its running it makes no difference,i've cleaned, balanced the carbs, replaced coils ,changed plugs but it floods on starting and drops off ,even swapped stuff off our other nc which is jap spec just to test and is faultless,i even use it to check plugs in ...any ideas peeps

hi, i finally!!! got mine running, and it`s real simple i removed all the sparky`s and burned the bottom ends on a small gas burner for about a minute or two then i refitted them to my bike ,and bob`s ur uncle she started first kick
( P.S- these small plugs are d#mn expensive!!)

Is speed limited unit located in the speedo connected, if not engine will not rev past approximately 5k rpm.

It is located in the speedo, there should be a three wire cable exiting the back of the speedo.
