Nc21 rocker cover gasket??

Post by duanebray_08 » Fri Jul 06, 2012 8:42 am

Ok I rang my local breakers/garage and asked for a rocker. cover gasket as my front one is leaking. I was told that I could try Honda or give David silver a call as he would also be cheaper. I rang David silver as I like cheap prices but he said he didn't have any in stock and the system list he has said no-one on the list has one in stock and the gaskets are discontinued by Honda. Any one have one knocking about or know where I can get a genuine or after market one if they are made? Or ideas on how to sort the leak or make a gasket. Thanks in advance.

Well the gasket is just a rubber strip of rubber.

If you take the rocker box off (4 bolts) remove the gasket and give it a good clean and degrease. Perhaps theres a tear in it?

You can patch it up with a small amount of silicon if you are stuck (you should some some silicon / bondign agent to glue it back onto the rocker box)

You can still get new ones if your struggling, although DSS are right in they have been discontiniued.

Part number: 12391ML0721

CMSNL sell them from the Netherlands as they have some in stock.

Wicked cheers for that, I didn't even think to check cmsl. I've look on there before for my 125cc.
