Nc30 prices on the rise?

Post by marcus57 »

Just wondering really but looking at ebay there seems to be a huge gap in nc30 prices.

This seller seems to price high and never sell , take this for example . I know its a uk spec bike and there ment to be the 'one' to have if your a collector but its been around for ages and not sold.

Where as this one pops up looking lovely and within a few days the price has rocketed up and i rekon it will keep on going up

I know that you can pick up a nail of a nc for a few hundred quid like this

How long till dogs are making good money?

Can you tell im off work and bored? :?

I think the 400's are going to go the way of the 2 stroke 250's but maybe not so extreme. Also about that uk spec bike, it looks like the frame plate has been removed theres got to be something dodgy going on with that one.

Cant beleve how much that restored one has got up too, just proves how desirable these bikes really are!

That restored one is why i posted , i saw it the other night and thought it looked nice but didnt think it would be around that price with 5 days left to run

Yea i saw it not long after it was listed, i was expecting it to get to around 2500 maybe 3k by the end but i reckon thats going to be closer to 4 by the end! Maybe i need to restore mine to standard condition instead of going the race rep route...

£400 - sounds like a bit of a bargain if he is hasnt missed a load of this and that is broken off the description.

As for value of bikes, this forum must keep prices low as i have seen a lot of good bikes on here sold for decent money - no where near 3-4k.

Thats Lyndons (big stink) bike is it not.
i reckon it will do around 4k, be surprised if it does more, however that said its a hell of a price for a jap import spec bike - possibly the highest i have seen yet.
We all know he did a nice job on it though and why would you buy an average UK example over this one ?

The Uk spec example from "Fastone" is as usual a bitza, mid panels look painted same with the nose at least. cant tell about the lowers or seat unti panels but is suspect they have been as the tail centre section is jap spec and not UK spec. So you can take the mileage with a pinch of salt. Fastone have not earned a great reputation over the years for being quite so honest in the bikes history shall we say.

There will always be shitters for sub a grand - until even they get thin on the ground and they rocket upwards too.

Tbh if i was looking for another i wouldn't care if it was a jap or uk bike , I have no idea who lyndon is but the bike does look lovely.

I suppose its sums up fast line if stuff like the resto sells and there's doesn't .

Lyndon is Big Stink on here it's a nice bike and done very well. I thought 3k would be top money for it though.

As Paul says you can still find very cheap NC's which actually just need a clean and various minor parts changing over.

I think prices for very good clean bikes are on the rise, but eBay prices are so inflated it's untrue.

To be honest I don't really want the prices to rise or go through the roof as keeping hold of them and maintaining them becomes difficult.

Lyndon's bike was the 1st PS feature nc30 & after all the work, £3k is a reasonable price?
I've got 4 nc30's & 3 will be sold, so I want them to rocket but I think we all know, that be a good few years away yet & there will always be bikes that sell for good money, as they'll be the stand-out bikes, that someone has put everything into but with a bit of luck, we'll all be keeping our versions of those!

Look in the e bay "completed listings" to see what they are going for.
Few go over £2000, around £1700 seems typical of decent ones.

However, really exceptional ones will always fetch good money.
