they just have preload and rebound adjustments on them, the guy I bought it off put maxton springs and heavier oil in to suit a 13 stone rider with the airgap as per maxton settings. I'm a bit lighter so will be looking to get them set up for my weight on the next trackday. Handles way better than my RVF but that is due to having a nitron shock where the RVF is still on the 'pillow soft' standard suspension!

How come the rvf calipers don't fit on a 30 with brackets then?

brackets have meat where the legs don't - the original rvf/'storm calipers have different body so interfere with bracket, not with leg.
