cbr600rr brake conversion

Post by ridders »

hey.
I am thinking about doing the CBR600RR front brake conversion on my nc30, but I am not really sure how much work or money is needed for this. I would appreciate it if anybody could tell me basically which new parts are needed for this and a estimated cost. I know there have been other posts similar to this but they seem to have a general grasp on what work is required already so not much has been coverd other than the fact it requires 2003/4 model discs.
cheers.

Welcome.

It does ont need any different discs....

you need, for an NC30 - some brackets for the forks. Some calipers, some new brake lines and an appropriate master cylinder - 5/8 instead of the 14mm taht is std on NC30

Loads of calipers fit - I have cbr600FX on mine - black ones.

Have a browse for some more threads.

£100 all in should see you get sorted if you get some good deals

ok thanks for the extra info. So if I got the calliper brakets from Rick Oliver I would just have to source new callipers, hoses and master cylinder. Ebay the best place for these would you think or?
cheers
