NC30 Air flow improvement

Post by james91 »

Hi All,
Just a quick one, ive read some things on the net that suggest that if you cut a hole in the plastic peice above the radiator just behind the steering head [just in front of the airbox snout] the engine will draw in cooler cleaner air rather than hot air from underneath the fuel tank. Question is- Has anyone tried this? And does it affect the delicate airfuel balancing that goes on in the carbs meaning they will need tuning to compensate for different airflow?

Thanks

Have a search...but the bottom line - the engine needs cool still air. not turbulent air.

My take on it - leave it standard. It works..and any benefit is not worth it - the bike won't suddenly get another 5hp...
