Help please nc30
Ok last Sunday went for a run bike running great, parked up for half hour or so and headed home bike didn't seem right below 5k seemed to be running rough but still pulled great above it, noticed about a mile from home she seemed to be running hotter than normal about 100, she normally sits at about 80 then got home on lower fairing chain side lots of black oily goo with what looked like emulsified oil, water. Took sprocket cover ect of can't see any leaks of oil or water. Any ideas please help

Not sure if the symptoms are correct but the water pump sits that side obviously and if the temperature has shot up and you have watery deposits over that side I would be checking the coolant levels, water pump and draining the oil to see what's going on.

If it came out of the water pump seal it stops if the bike is upright. On the side stand it leaks again, or it did on mine.
There is a seal in there that seperates the oil and water and another o ring type that prevents oil leaking out. It sounds like you might have both leaking in which case you may need a new pump.
Take the pump out and check the impellor has no play, if it does then the seal is probably gone. The outer o ring gets flattened off over time so its worth replacing. Drain the oil as you may have water mixed in.

Ok checked everything this morning all looking good cant find any problems. Next question should the coolant hoses be pressurised? If not what's best way to clear an airlock?
