URGENT - Changing Oil

Post by thutchoo » Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:09 pm

Bike badly needs an oil change, reeks of petrol . . . said it was serviced around 500 mile ago!

picking up some oil and filter from halfords later, just for the convenience and also the staff discount is quite decent ;)

what model oil filter would it be?

please see this page http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... &mode=list

thank you in advance guys! Also 10w40 part synthetic castrol power 1 stuff any good?

F301 / F306 champion oil filter.

oil is fine.

Smelling of petrol doesn't indicate an oil change usually though...

F308 says it's for Honda, but a bike 'reeking' of petrol is not an indicator for an oil change. If when you drop the oil out of the bike and the oil smells of petrol then you have a BIG problem.
