NC30 Overheating???

Post by Sam-NI »

My NC30 didn't have a lower rad fan. Temp gauge will rocket it traffic, to about 2/3 along the gauge, then the engine will cut out. It will restart on the button usually.

Is this a safety cutout, because it is over heating, or something else?

I've installed a fan, and wired it in, but I think my thermostat switch is broken, as I let the bike heat up, and it cut out before then fan engaged.

Probably going to wire it in to a switch for the meantime.

What I want to know is if the NC30 kills itself at a certain Temperature?

Cheers!

No - should run to past the red line on the temp... Mine has done before! I don't run a fan either.

I'm pretty sure i'd seen mine in the red before, now it seems to be cutting out before.

So back to square one then.

Suggestions?
