NC30 Rear Suspension??

Post by pete_vfr »

Hi all took the nc30 track bike out the weekend and managed to drop it on a tight right hander track was damp but i also have a feeling my 23 year old standard suspension with no set up on the back may not have helped me, so strip down and rebuild is on the way, on a budget though so has anyone done or know of decent rear shock mods that can be done or what works well in your experiance?? cheers all also running standard front forks which im sure would also benifit from abit of tlc. Thanks all

Rick Oliver front spring kit is about £80 and seems to be the best choice on a budget , something like a maxton or nitron rear will work wonders , they go for about £300 second hand or £500 new .

If you used a second hand rear and a Rick Oliver front with new seal and bushes it would probably cost about £500 all in and make a hell of a difference.

Theres not really a cheap option, standard shocks are limited so an aftermarket maxtion, ohlins etc is often the only option. Cheaper shocks can be altered to fit but you then have to factor in a spring and shim stack change which then pushes the price up.

The front is thankfully cheaper to sort, a rebuild with a spring change will see you right.
