Zxr400l forks in a nc30
Hi all, am after a bit of help with fitting zxr400l forks into a nc30,
I don't wanna run a zxr400 front wheel, and I know rick Oliver does nc30 wheel spacers for the zxr forks.
My question is can I run standard nc30 brake discs and do they need modding at all, am planning on running gsxr calipers on the forks
Thanks in advance

I have 400L forks, NC30 wheel and discs, and gsx1400 six pots in a 3tj frame.

Having owned a ZXR400 L and an NC30, is there really any noticable benefit from upgrading to the ZXR forks apart from the cosmetic USD look if you like it.

The H model uses 300mm discs and the L uses 310mm discs (I think the standard NC30 discs are 296mm), so it may be possible with the H forks and calipers (just about) but not the L forks and calipers.
I did fit a set of 300mm discs to the L forks once and the brake performance was noticeably worse.
I plan on fitting ZX636 forks to mine, and being radial calipers, the method of adjustment for different radius discs is much easier

Am I right in thinking sp1 calipers will fit on the zxr400l forks (62mm centres) would these work with nc30 wheel and discs or do I need a bracket to get the contact between pad and disk correct

the difference between the L and H forks is the mounting point for the calipers. Both L and H calipers I think will fit either fork. Don't know about the SP1 calipers though, you might have to get some brackets made
