NC30 Damper rod bolts.

Post by gpz900 »

Hi everyone,

Had to drill out the damper rod bolts on my NC30 and just wondered where the best place to get replacements is?

Is it advisable to get originals or will any bolts the correct size do the trick?
If so, does anyone know the correct dimensions?

Cheers....

Al.

Hi, Al -

They are Honda specials with a lower profile head than a standard allen screw - I can supply them if you want, drop me a mail...

You can order them in at your local honda dealer mate, they're a common part between several models.

If you need any part numbers for vfr's then try CMSNL as they have full micro fiche's, i just had to get a damper rod bolt for my nc21 their probaly the same part however best to check, i went on CMSNL and looked up the part number and then went to ling's honda website, punched in the part number and orderd one they are about 3 quid but the postage is 4.50 so thats a lot for a bolt but its a very crucial bolt

Just dont forget to fit a new copper washer when installing the bolt as it helps prevent the fork ol leaking!
