how to open nc30 left hand switchgear
Hi all, my friend has an Nc30 which has a sticky switch,
we cant figure out how to open it up to have a look at the contacts/switches
any advice would be greatly appreciated

As far as I remember there are 2 screws on the underside and then you kind of crack it open. I'd put a white cloth underneath or similar to catch any bits that go flying.

2 x Phillips screws, about m5/50mm youll need to tuge the upper or lower part to lossen from the bar, there is a retaining lug that sits in the handle bar so dont twist or youll snap it,
The wiring clamps into the upper part but there is wiring for the horn that also goes to the bottom part which makes it hinge off so to speak

Be VERY careful if and when you prise the white plastic square out. The little springs and bits of copper are liable to fly anywhere and are a complete bugger to find on the floor!

the high/low beam switch has a sprung ramp arrangement.
Everything stays in its place when you prize the halfs apart though.
Probably best to remove it from the loom and take it indoors. My hi/low was gunged up, but only toggles now if I hit the switch quickly

Do it at your own peril, I opened my old semi-working one once, glanced in and decided to give it to Rick for free I believe
