Thanks, I'll measure the HEL line this evening, if its the same length it must be that I've routed it wrong, although I'm pretty sure I put it back the same way as the old one.Deviant400 wrote:just a tad over 110cm but thats without the little adapter bit on the caliper end
The line screws strainght into the caliper too.

Indeed, so its either too long or routed wrong. Don't suppose you can let me know how it's routed from the front end of the chainguard to the master cylinder by any chance?lizard821000 wrote:thats not the right one, iv got hel back line and its no were near that length lol

Re: HEL Rear Brake Line - Too Long?
One difference I noticed was the number of rubber grommets or boots on this one compared to mine, I only have the one fitted, which is what the HEL line came with.
So I fitted this in the centre clip on the chainguard, which means its a bare line on the rearmost clip and the front clip of the chainguard, also bare where it runs through the clip on the top of the undertray, where I went wrong though was not running it through the U clip that the hose from the master cylinder resevoir goes, putting it in there as well seems to have taken up a lot of slack.
So do I worry about the lack of rubber grommets or not?
Cheers
