NC30 plugs keep dying/carb advice

I'm on the second set in two months. It's always the same first the bike only fires on 2 cylinders then it wont start. I have no tools or place to work on it so I take it to a mechanic and he cleaned and adjusted the carbs the last time this happened. I asked him why is this and he just said that the carbs are "bad/worn", he doesn't speak any english so that's all I know. I'm goind to the garage tomorrow to have a look at it myself, what should I check on them?

If bike is running really rich the exhaust will be very sooty, black soot. Sounds like running rich follow cammos guide very good my bike running sweet now. Also don't start the bike unless you going to run it upto full operating temp, fouls plugs real easy

It also loses power as the engine gets hot.

Usually when you loose power as the engine gets warm this is due to running rich. Check out the following link, very useful. You will need to get a haynes manual, and follow Cammo's carb guide. set everything back to standard then go from there. Do you have a different exhaust, any other mods?

Are you at altitude at all? you need to run smaller jets the higher you are so factor that in.

You might also want to sort the carbs yourself - they are easy enough once you get stuck in.

I remember another forum user from Thiland that had running issues and i think it was due to temp and humidity?
Have a look on the 400gb map and see if there is another member in your neck of the woods that can offer some setup advice

We fixed it with the mechanic, it was a combination of simple things. Vacum hose was split plus filling up with gasohol dislodged some dirt and the carbs had to be cleaned. Rear two plugs had to be changed (they were completely black).

Is 1m long enaugh for the vacuum tube?
