Just a post as im intrigued to know who can wheely there 400's

Now before the whole ... Its bad for your engine , its not safe blah blah etc im just curious to know

Who can do it on standard sprockets and how

Who can do it on 14t sprockets and how

Would be cool to show off a win on track

I'd not bother on a VFR/RVF as the oil pick-up is at the front of the engine so you'll starve the bike off oil really quick. I'd a mate though that could wheelie an NC30 with no issues at all.

I can manage a fair distance on 1 wheel on the 'Blade though, she loves a good wheelie.

is it cause you alther the front sprocket or is it literally a shite load of revs and dump the clutch and cling on ? lol

Never realy been brave enough to try it on the NC21 however i did once pull a wheelie on my triumph 900 thunderbird over taking a car i was in a lower gear than i thought and it came up but got a tad worried and pulled the clutch and she came down again
The triumph's heavy but its realy torquey and doesnt take a lot to get a light front end on, the only other time i managed to actualy wheelie a bike was on my first ever bike a suzuki gp100 that cut out so being niave i got it going again then revved it up too much (due to fear of it cutting out) and droped the clutch it only came up for a few seconds but that was the last time i did that

I dont wheelie my NC30 cus of the damage it causes to the engine, i do like to jump humpback bridges though :D

With 1000cc and 170bhp at the tyre, you don't need to change the gearing. It took me a good 3 years to learn how to wheelie properly and I'm still learning. An NC isn't a great bike to start learning on and if you think you're going to go from not being able to wheelie to full stand up can-cans you'll be spending a long time in a hospital bed LOL

If you are going to try and learn to wheelie, get a bigger bike with more torque, learn to power wheelie first and get 'comfortable' with air under the front wheel. A 2 inch wheelie will feel like a 4 foot mono, just remember, baby steps all the way and get a bike that's known as a wheelie machine.

There's nothing better than a proper minger (either seeing or doing). I've landed a few that have been up that long that I've left a 2 foot skid from the front wheel when it hits the ground and lays down puffs of rubber 6 feet either side. As cool as they are, let me warn you though, so far I've had the Ohlins forks re-built twice and also replace my head bearings too. The CBR will sit on the wheel for as long as I can keep it up for, but the longer the wheelie, the quicker you'll be going, I can run the bike out in 2nd gear that'll be over 100mph on 1 wheel, so be warned, if it goes wrong, it's not just the bike that'll be a mess.

Bad idea.

It's easy enough to do with the right technique, theres not enough power to wheelie off the throttle so you'd need to do it off the clutch.

This is hard on most engines but the NC30 has no cush-drive so its' going to be extra hard on the chain and sprockets.

Also as above the oil pickup is at the front so it'll starve of oil quickly.

The best (and possibly only real) wheelie I did was on my old Gas Gas. It went up, and up, and up until I came off the back and hit the ground running. And as I continued to run after the bike along the beach, the front wheel came down and the bike continued on in a nice straight line until it ran out of speed and toppled over onto the ground, gently.

That was a good wheelie.

i have done it by mistake on a race start. 6k rpm drop the cluch, gearing was 15/44 tuned race bike.

i would not advise it though - its not good for your underware
