Re: Porndoguk - VFR400 R3K NC30
Well
monday 30.01.2012 saw the Seed go out for her first ride of the year, and also the first ride since i made all those changes! (including the TYGA exhaust)
Carbs, Rick O needles re raised with 1 shim, NC24 Slides, New #35pilot jets,
Samco hoses,
and the tyga exhaust,
titanium bling
reverted back to the 15T but with a brand new 520 Renthal
(ill keep the 14T spare for now)
and a few other bits i probally forgot,
any hooooo
let her tick over for 30mins after it starting and running funny on all 4, i assumed and hope it was just down to the cold and it not being properly run in 6 months, did start without problem which was nice.
went out and got no further then 100yards away and felt the back step out from twisting the cable to much! so shut off and carried on i went out foolishly in jeans trainers, honda jacket gloves and helmet,
the midrange is spot on now, pulls better than it ever has i think i have the bike just were i want it for the road now and im VERY keen to dyno this now and see where the A/F mix is at now, and maybe a little torque and clean BHP curve. stay tuned will get this done SOON!
exhaust is as loud as thunder which i didnt want i wanted it quieter but seems louder! 118dB it peaked on MAX hold, but it was in the garage when i tested it so i get vibration and resonance of the metal roof wouldnt help.
i like the rattling the springs make gives it a very racey edge,
one BIG school boy error was i went out without locking my hub nut off, i did torque it up, but i didnt want to stake it in as i was going to drill it but in reality i think im going to stake it!
ive purchased a few little more bits, rear set risers, longer Ti shift rod, Stainless Steel Captive spacers, pillion seat pod,
im still umming and arring over paint at the moment as i want to keep the NC30 styling, but yet i want to do a suzuka RVF750 replica,

Re: Porndoguk - VFR400 R3K NC30
well, thats kinda hit the wall, as kris revealed he was going to do the seed swatch honda scheme which id kept so quiet and secret with only a few members i have so much stuff on it on another harddrive somewhere i have the scale measurements for the decals, i even have some of the decals ready, but in all honesty i cannot afford a Silohuete body work and it wount be right to do it without.Deviant400 wrote:suzuka rvf750 rep FTFW
so the plan has changed slightly,
standard seed scheme, carbon number board on the front, perspex orange headlight cover, painted seed seat cowl,
i think with my HRC gold wheels it wont look to bad, it will keep the stock NC30 look plus a little hint of endurance to it.
ive got a load of parts ive stock piled to fit once i get my workshop in order,
i need to do a big update in a few weeks but i wanna wait until im sorted,
and off course another dyno run once i do my next batch of improvements and upgrades

its a pity as i know the bodywork is serious expense , i couldnt afford to spend that much so i know the score on that ,even the tyga stuff costs a fair few quid after paint so one day maybe ,
however i think your plans for the bike sound pretty fookin cool and would look shit hot in anycase pal , we want pics

Rick. You know my circumstances so I won't be doing my Seed anytime soon, so put your original plan into action if you want mate, not a problem.

Hey Rick,
Just having a read through your thread! I notice you have the later type rear shock, this wouldnt' have been on a SEED bike, did you fit it?

Yeah my original shock once the bike had warmed up became spongy, i won it on ebay for about 35 delivered a fair while back im after another no to refurb and a fit a rs250 remote res, as to refill the nc30 on id believe would be awkward also the remote would also allow for some adjustmentNeosophist wrote:Hey Rick,
