bit wobbly RVF 400 air intake ducts????

Post by majormadass »

hey guys, just wondering, on the rvf 400, the ram air intake ducts, at the front of nose cone on my RVF seem a little shaky? is this normal? i've looked up like aftermarket TYGA ones, and they don't seem to have a rubber housing or anything to keep them snug? they only bit shaky/wobbly if you wobble em with your hand? is this normal?

Wouldnt really worry about it, they're not structual.
You could try 'adjusting' the upper fairing bracket, but that would in turn 'adjust' the side view mirrors... If you use them.

By 'adjusting' the upper fairing bracket, your effectively tightening the area between the front of the air duct, and the top of the tank, slightly unnecessary. (spelling?)

Or where the air duct sits on the top of the tank, there should be a screw on the outer side towards the front of the bike, try tightening that... My bike doesn't have the screws at all, I low-sided my bike not long ago on the left hand side, pulled the bracket back into shape, and the air duct is tight as hell!
