Carbon swing arm cover

Post by Causon67 »

I bought a carbon swing arm
Image
I have just tried to place it on the bike and the exhaust was in the way has anyone fitted one of these, as I'm sure if I need to or even where to remove the exhaust to have access to the swing arm.

Many thanks Pete

i have one but fitted mine before i put the exhaust on the bike, you should be able to plop that on with the exhaust in place i would of thought , but if you cant get good access you might have to remove the endcan to get a bit more access failing that the whole rear section of the pipe ,i used normal clear silicon sealer and held it on tight with some electrical tape till it set , looks nice on a black swingarm :ugeek:

Depends on the exhaust you got fitted, some half systems run pretty close to the swingarm namely yammamoto making it hard to get it on without rubbing

Stick a pic up of it but if your system is running close to the swingarm then its not gunna fit without rubbing, you could try loosening off the system and retighten it trying to get it to give more clearance but some system just sit close and theres nowt you can do about it

I have one with a yamamoto and have no problems with it rubbing.

Attatched it using double sided tape for a bit of safety that pads it out slightly and still fits fine.
