NC30 carb drain

Post by bikemonkey »

So I'm doing a full service on my bike before I get it on the road, and thought it was probably best to put fresh fuel in the bike as its been sitting a while.

No problem emptying the tank of fuel etc, but is it recommended that I replace the drain screw o rings when I drain the carbs of old fuel? Seeing as I can't seem to see them on the diagram on the honda parts website.

http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/honda ... ck_03=5716

Its probably number one on the diagram but I don't think it lists the gaskets and o rings seperately, and I'm not fully stripping the carbs so I don't want to spend that much money on seals etc.

Anyone help?

I've drained lots of carbs lots of times...and never replaced these seals..

So..see whether it leaks or not - I don't think it will. Don't remove the drains screws all the way and you'll be right.
