Post by doodleface » Sat Apr 21, 2012 10:39 am

Well guys, in MCN Norton are building a new 400cc V4... looks like a fucking weapon... hopefully with more reliability then its other shit, but still... thoughts? Hopefully they'll mass produce it! Love the V4!

Me wantey
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Most manufacturers get other firms to subcontract work just look our NC30's: Keihin carbs, showa suspension, Oki CDI, Enkie wheels, Nissin calipers etc......oh and the same guy who owns Norton owns Spondon so its hardly surprising that they would make the frame

i bought a yzf r125 when they came out as a work commute bike but i did want the derby gpr125 i did however manage to pick up a brand new gilera sc125 a few weeks later for less than £500 as the owner thought it was fucked because it was smoking like a bitch (turns out he put 10/40w in the 2 stroke bottle lol) it had a yammy motor and everything else had derby stamped on it it was infact a derby but with gilera stickers on it, so if you want a derby buy a gilera same bike but its loads cheaper

:pmsl:

Reminds me of what my brother just told me, his mates got a two stroke scooter and had no idea it was a two stroke as he says to my brother "I duno, I just put petrol init". So my brother lifts his mates seat unit and see's the two stroke bottle feeding the engine.

Turns out his mates dad was putting the 2T oil in because he knew his son wouldn't have a clue :')

Lol you guys in Europe get so much greater choice, availability and price on bikes compared to the fucking ripoff prices we pay here in aus! So jealous! I could feed my addiction way more in Europe!
Can only find gilera scooters here... sad!
