exhaust cut rear section joint wrong size - advice pls
Things I wish I'd never done # 999
Just under a year ago I decided the standard exhaust was a bit too quiet so I bought a cut rear section and can as the advice was not to cut my standard system. However I decided I'd run standard for a while and only now have I got round to trying to fit it with all the other changes, rear shock, painted wheels, braided lines etc.
Having got the old system off I offered the new rear section up, using new packing pieces between front and back and the rear section pipes are too small to fit over the packing!

It looks like the rear section has new tube welded on at the joint and this is too small to fit over the packing.
So what to do? Clearly the rear section isn't going to fit in a month of Sundays. Is fitting without the packing an option? Not too happy at the momenmt to say the least!

most aftermarket systems don't have any packing are are a push/interference fit.
