nc30 tail unit ideas
I'm thinking of trying a different seat unit on my trackbike. My bike has an alloy nc35 subframe on it.
I'm thinking about one thats a little more modern but not too sharp and pointed. Maybe an rs 250 honda one or ive seen a yamaha 250 tz one looks like it might suit better.
I know its going to take a bit of work to make it fit right.
Has anyone any pictures of bikes for some ideas? Or any suggestions what might look ok.
I expect some people to ask why the hell would you want to do that. If it turns out crap i'll just go back to the way it is now.

TZ seat unit on my FZR, albeit not completely finished yet.

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

It says aprilia style, it looks like the mountings are the same as yours. I thought it might suit better on my bike, looks to me like its not as rounded as the aprilia one but i could be wrong.

Was that the white one Royster, i didn't get a chance to get a proper look at that bike.
I like the look of that yam one in the link i put up, it looks more the shape of an sp1 seat.
The rs250 seats i've seen look to curve round and point towards the ground more.
I've asked the seller for a few pictures to get a better idea.

yeah it was a blue rvf with a white rs250 seat and twin high level cans. it was fast too, until he crashed at the hairpin.
if you like the look of the sp1 seat why not try that ?
