NC29 Fork upgrade & Fork Top replacement
I've recently pick up a nice NC29, but the forks are rubbish and need fresh internals.
I have a new set of race tech springs from a SV650 is this recommended upgrade. The springs are just over an inch shorter then stock.
Additionally, anyone know if you can purchase fork tops????
Cheers

Not sure about SV springs but Graeme France sells racetech springs as an upgrade.

Not directly no you will have to transplant the stems if you want to do it properly.RSVR wrote:Cheers

Re: NC29 Fork upgrade & Fork Top replacement
Use the SV650 springs if from a curvy, as the bikes are of very similar weight so should be fine, or at least not worse.
Wet weights (swift google only, no facts here)
nc29 - 182kg
curvy SV - 189kg
sharp SV - 198kg
You can use preload adjustable fork caps off many Hondas such as firestorms, some VFR750s, CBR600s, etc. Doesn't matter if they come with a damping adjuster that you don't need, you can chop that off on the inside no worries. These caps effectively take up about 1" more of spacer room or thereabout, so if you get these, not only will you have adjustable preload, you also (probably) won't need new spacers. So it's definitely worth a go if you can find a cheap set. Any adjustable cap off any 90's-ish honda 41mm forks "should" be fine.

Re: NC29 Fork upgrade & Fork Top replacement
However if you have the newer 29 forks you will have to get F3 fork caps.
