what size allen key is required to remove the damper rod on the NC30 forks?

6mm? :| You sure it's not 8mm?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Im not sure its been that long since i had a fettle with my nc, but i recall using an od allen key i have in my cycle tool kit thats a really long 6mm, it could be an 8mm so disregard my input chris my brains no engaged today, day 4 of my first ever migraine!

You might be right bud, just most of the forks I've ever worked with have an 8mm hex bolt holding the damper rod in.
