ZXR Front end conversion

Post by bikemonkey »

I've bought myself some zxr400l forks (thanks to lizard821000 ;) ) and also got myself the zxr400l yokes and some gsxr600 k1 front calipers.

I know Rick Oliver sells the conversion kits for the forks to fit the NC30 and the calipers to fit the forks.
And I know I'm going to need a zxr400l front mudguard.

Is there anything else I need for this to work?
I'm thinking I might need new clip-ons and brake lines?
Possibly a new master cylinder?

Anyone who can shed some light please do, I don't want to buy the wrong things :)

You will need new clip-ons and hoses. I'd try to get the GSXR M/C & lever, much better than the VFR or ZXR one.. You may also need to alter the steering stop points on the lower yoke.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
