Another option, yes. But like you said, not user friendly on the road. That's why I suggested looking at the Cat for inspiration, or Thunderace for that matterDrunkn Munky wrote:Or just use the same ram air system everyone does on their V4'sThe one that the top tuners in the game have spent time developing and racing for years now. I wouldnt use it on the road tho, its not exactly user friendly.

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

apparently electric superchargers have shown to have some benefit. Of course, there are mechanical losses with driving the alternator etc, but, it is something you can switch on when you most need it - probably more useable than ram air.

I thought the ZZR1100 was the first ram air production bike? Or does the underlined true allow you to use the Y wordthunderace wrote:If you're dead set on a RAM Air system, take a look at the Yamaha Thundercat for inspiration. They were the first mass production road bike to have a true RAM Air induction system.

I toyed with that idea for the GPZ, £80 per cylinder for supercharging ain't bad considering the effective BHP gain.
However, as I've committed to buying Buddha's NC30, the GPZ will be MOT'd, taxed and sold.

I doubt if they give you any gain at all, if clams are made about a power increase its probably made by the people selling them, i wouldnt waste my money on any electric super charger.scooble wrote:apparently electric superchargers have shown to have some benefit
