I couldn't handle the purple so I got some primer on the new upper. I wasn't sure about the looks (thought it looked too wide) but it's growing on me.
More importantly, I got the engine turning over and all the electrics in order. Hopefully it will fire up soon. Looks like my fuel tap is shot. There is an o ring on the front side that is letting fuel out the front. I bought a rebuild kit but that o ring was not included.

Re: GK76 Engine overhaul-What do you recommend?
Well looks like I will be knee deep in the carb set up issues like everyone else.
She will fire up but only with about quarter throttle and then idle for a few seconds and then quit. It doesn't seem to like any throttle as that will kill it. Basically it seems to not respond to any adjustments, choke, idle screw. It will just fire, idle a bit and quit. It seemed like it was flooding to me so I pulled the plugs and dried everything out but basically did the same thing today when I tried.
Everything is new in the carbs and I followed the 1.5 mixture screw setting but will check it again.

I asked my buddy when he bid and he said it was a company called "Parts Company". I don't know if that was the real name or the name didn't really translate well to English.

Re: GK76 Engine overhaul-What do you recommend?
Carb question- Would anyone have a clue what I have wrong that the engine seems to instantly flood?
The bike will start and idle. It will not accept any throttle. It will lumber along at very low rpm and then quit. When I pull the plugs they are soaked.
Other notes- It doesn't seem to start with the choke and it seems to like quarter throttle without choke to start. So I guess I might be flooding but not sure why it won't recover and just stays flooded.

I'm obviously NO expert but try looking at the floats, they could be stuck.....could also be your fuel tap that you mentioned.
