NC35 Ignition Key Wont Turn
Hey Fellas,
The bike has been running great recently as i have spent allot of time and money on it.
I have an aftermarket BSU Ignition (Came with the bike) I have never had any troubles before turning the key, I have tried wd40, about an hour of jiggling play and still wont turn.

I even had road side assistance out and there was nothing they could do. He mentioned that it may be a dead battery. I have had a dead battery in the past and it never stopped the key from turning, besides its a new battery and rectifier.
Am i up for an expensive tow to the bike shop and have the ignition replaced?
Thanks
Mike

you could always fit a rocker switch to get it running for now and then sort the ignition out...just unplug the dark red block by your right knee and get a new block and rocker...
no idea why that would not turn though - why does it not have a proper Honda ignition?

No idea why it doesnt have the original ignition. Still has the original tank barell that uses the stock key. Any idea how much a new ignition fitted would cost from Honda?

lol at a honda dealer, about a million quid. Seriously theres no need to take it to honda, unplug the connector as mark said the remove the top yoke and unbolt the barrel from underneth. You can get a replacement for about £40 i think.

I'm having so much trouble finding a new ignition for it. Honda themselves don't even stock ignitions at all in Aus.
I have found a second hand NC30 ignition for it, does any one know if it will fit an NC35?

No you don't have to remove the yoke but its a lot easier if you do, the yoke is a doddle to remove anyway.
ignition barrels are readily available here on eBay or from Rick Oliver I think but if your stuck I may have a spare one in the loft

Re: NC35 Ignition Key Wont Turn
I found a second hand NC35 ignition at a wreckers with a key. Its all in working fine, but i now have one key for my tank and one key for my ignition.
I had the same thing before with the old ignition key but could i get a barrel for the tank to match the new ignition key?
Should i just buy a new matching set?
Thanks fellas

If your still struggling send Mori Man a message, he's in Japan and often has access to ignition locks, complete sets or whatever you need if Rick O or anyone else can't help
