Ok I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say I like them. Bar the weird design on it, I like the plain black one

Dammit, too late and it looks like I'm jumping on the minority bandwagon. I think it could look quite good on the right bike in the right scheme.
I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

to be fair you could be right, and maybe (and in an odd kinda euro way like polos on 13" wheels with narrow tyres) it could start a new trend - doubt it though
