VFR800 Supersport Conversion

Post by rockomsockomrobots » Wed Mar 14, 2012 11:39 pm

Hey Fellas,

I thought i would share this with you. Its a 1999 VFR800 that has been converted to super sport.

I have a 96 NC35 and im in love with the swing arm. I'm keeping the NC35 as its just so much fun and I have been thinking about buying a modern CBR1000 or CBR600 for the work commute.

This thing is more appealing to me than a brand new CBR.

I wish Honda would bring back the V4 supersports

Out of interest, when you say converted to super sport - does that mean sleeved down to 600cc?

I would buy one in a heart beat if Honda would bring them back.

How hard would it be to put a VFR swingarm on a CBR?

Anything's possible, it's been done plenty of times on older fireblades.

I've seen a ZXR400 with an NC3x or NC24 swining arm on it, can't remember which

I have fitted an NC30 swingarm to a 3tj,It's not complicated providing there's enough room in the frame and your not having to cut out geat amounts,The 35 swing arm is narrower so you would proably need to space it,the is also the shock mount to consider, but if you have the tools and a bit of mechanical knowledge it can be done.
