Re: NC35 Question
I just did mine the other day and the specs call for 445ml, although mine ended up being a little bit less even after complete tear down and draining of the forks. Final measurement was based off the fork oil level which is 74mm with the fork leg fully compressed without the spring in place per Haynes manual. Measure down from the top of the fork tube on the inside to the oil level. Use a flashlight and a thin ruler to measure. Hope this helps.maciekmaciek19 wrote: By the way, do you guys know how much fork oil to put in there? Have the fork legs ready to be filled out buc cant find any info on the amount of oil...

Re: NC35 Question
Thanks RVFHooligan. I think I got it right.
Now how about all those tiny bubbles of air? On classic forks you can just pump it out, how about here?
Thanks
PS. I'm hoping to have the bike back in one piece this weeken. Will post some pix.

Re: NC35 Question
Hi,
The bike is back in one piece with few parts replaced, some refreshed.
My first ride on it quite enjoyable. Although I will need to work on it some more.
The front end feels a bit wobbly... Not sure if this is due to an old head bearings or the forks... There might be air trapped in them (possible?) I'd like to hear your ideas...
Also is it sensible to recondition the rear shock? It's really soft.

Re: NC35 Question
Have you got a haynes manual? When i did my RVF forks i the haynes manual says to pump the fork a number of times after filling with oil to get rid of the air.maciekmaciek19 wrote:The front end feels a bit wobbly... As for the shock get a replacement, the original will be well shot by now and i dont think there rebuildable.

Re: NC35 Question
I might need to redo the forks at some point. As for the shock I just got an R6 one of ebay. According to RVFHooligan this thing fits perfectly (with minor adjustments)Drunkn Munky wrote:Have you got a haynes manual? I'll get this bike stripped down next week most likely. I'll probably have many more questions to ask.
Thanks for your help everyone!

Nice, can we call it the Hooligan mod?maciekmaciek19 wrote: As for the shock I just got an R6 one off ebay.

(I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed the Hooligan term from you UK bikers about 15 years ago when I was there and I have used it on every forum I have ever been on. I've been RC51Hooligan, 1000RRHooligan, DucatiHooligan, R6Hooligan, GixxerHooligan, NightsterHooligan, etc. I was under the impression that any biker was considered a Hooligan in the UK. Is that still the case or am I just a big wanker?

And yeah the R6 shock we can easily name after you! I'll keep an eye on the top mount progress!
Cheers! :)

Yeah will do. It'll be a while though. I don't expect to get the bike going earlier than in a month. I can only do the bike work on weekends and nights.
Also I'll need an exact spec of that top mount from rvfhooligan.
