I had a set of RVF forks and a RS250 shock done there years ago for my first RVF, they were quite short with me on the phone when i was trying to explain what i wanted done with the RS shock saying that they had done loads of them before for NC's, I was quite green then so went ahead and sent it all off anyway. When i got them back and fitted the front end was soft as shite and on later inspection had progressive springs instead of the straight rate ones id asked for, and the shock was hard as nails even on the softest setting. Lesson learnt, stick to the guys that know what their doing.

Was your alright James lol???....ive sent mine to reactive with a note asking for what i'd like done...if the reservoir hose is turned on the reservoir it looks like it would fit ok when i put mine in place? Ive given them mine and my bike details and suggested a 900lb spring but said i was open to their advice...they said £55 for a service £25 valving and £55 spring...i got the seller to assure me the rod etc was in good nick and it was....i think some of your issues have come from a shit ebay buy....if it was described as good condition, i'd of sent it back if the rod was corroded :(

No to be fair to the guy who sold it on ebay he said the rod was pitted and would need replacing, and based on that and the fact i could get a new rod for £50 i thought that £40 for the shock was ok incl delv.

Im annoyed at the fact i spent time going through what i wanted and sorting out a price to then be charged more and for what was pretty shoddy service and in the end a partly wasted day off work.

Basically wish i'd sent it anywhere else, i did ring Reactive but when i said it'd need a new rod he kinda didnt want to know.

Anyway lesson learnt, wont be using again, just hope when i get it back its ok and works well. tho judging by DM's post i'm not holding my breath.
Just didnt want anyone sending a shock there and getting the shoddy service that i have then paying through the nose for it

Right to add to this....
I just rang Reactive suspension and he told me that the retaining screw was seized on the main rod of my shock and he thought he'd removed it all but hadn't and he's broken my shaft and it will be well over three hundred to fix now...they say that its my responsibility and that i get nothing for my shock and that he would never recommend fitting this shock to an nc30....as far as im concerned i think they should be giving me the £50 i paid for it as he said he'd do the work and he broke it.....anyone got a shock.........
:spank:

just been arguing on the phone....he said the screw was seized so he ground it out but didn't get it all out and it broke the shaft....i said that he'd just admitted it was his fault and he should be paying and he said he can't take responsibility for evry second hand shock....i'll be taking it a little further seeing as he said its his fault

Get your money back for it, he knew the screw wasn't removed completely so he shouldn't have tried to remove the shaft. Fair enough if he had informed you and you gave him the go ahead but he didn't.
