Gsxr choke woes!

Post by royster81 »

A mate of mine bought a gsxr400sp ( pictures to follow ) and he's having a really hard time starting it. I asked him were all the choke parts moving freely and it turns out there's no choke. There is space on the bar for it and an arrow saying choke, but no actual lever or cable.

Can new choke levers be bought new?

From what he was saying to me last night he's missing both choke and lever but I'm getting a look at it today so will know for sure.

Thanks for offer, I think he'll take you up on it.

The lever on the bars or on the carbs? i took my lead off as i will just use the choke by hand. from left side.

Off at the bar, to be fair I think the bike has had it rough from the last owner so god knows why it's been done

Confused. Does the carb itself have all the choke bits? one of my bronze tubing had snapped.

Sorry mars, the lever and cable are missing completely from the clip on, I don't know if the linkages are on the carbs or not but I plan to see the bike again today so will know better later.
