errm.. yes! the link neo gave me, the guy in there uses a PVC tubing... and in hayenes manual also says use a tube. again, im guessing its PVC tubing.

just calm down, there is no one that i know with the right tools that could do this for me, there are the garages, but i phoned up and the guy there said 20 quid to just press the bearing in? so i said what the fuck, il rather give it a go myself.

Good work. Now keep an eye on them for the next week because, perhaps I'm doing something wrong, I've always found they have a tendancy to 'bed in' a bit and require re-adjusting after a few miles.

PVC can be ok, providing the steering stem is spotless. It helps to apply a few drops of oil to the inside surface of the bearing to allow it to move easier.

PVC won't damage the bearing so easy so it's a safer thing to use

20gbp isn't bad price.

Don't forget they have the tools (Which would cost you more to buy) and it's their time, they are also less likely to break anything.

Glad you've got it togther. Did you grease it up properly.
