choosing a new tyre nc21

Post by Pilky » Mon Feb 27, 2012 10:29 am

Seeking the wisdom of the greybike collective, I need a new front tyre after the trackday at anglesey and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation as to which tyre is the best (so to speak). I am on an nc21 so 100/90 16 a quick look shows the bt45, pirelli sport demon and the Avon.roadrunner. anyone recommendations? Or maybe even other tyres they know of?? And is it important to match the rear?

I used BT45s on the NC24 I had for a bit - they were alright!

That's what on the rear at the moment I think I might go for the bt45 seems to have good reviews on the sites. Sport demon just sounds good... Haha

Sport Demons are Radial I belive where as the 45's are cross-ply.

Probably be a better tyre.

You used to be able to get BT-39's for the NC2x which are cracking road / race tyres for the older bike... not sure if you can still get?

If you can i'd get a 39 on the back and and a sport demon on the front (I belive the 39's are radial too) so i'd rather mix brands than mix crossply and radial tyres...
