While the wheels are off being painted I thought I'd fit my new HEL lines and give the calipers a quick clean up etc, I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle.
The pad pin plug is stuck fast on both calipers, I assume there's nothing I'm missing? It does "simply" unscrew with a suitable flat bladed screwdirver, which in this case isn't doing anything.
I've dosed it liberally in plus gas overnight, still no movement, I'm concerned I'll butcher the screw head on the plug if I'm not careful.
More plus gas is currently applied, any other suggestions or am I missing something?

Impact drive, dont worry about butchering the plug, they're only a couple of quid if that.

Re: Brake Pad Pin Plug stuck
i had the same prob yonks ago , i tried about 30 diffrent screwdrivers before one loosened it , i totally removed the calipers from the bike held them between my knees on the floor and a long chunky driver with a thick handle gripped between both hands did the job (insert pun here)
failing that plus one on an impact driver and copperslip on a new plug when you put them back together

Had a similar problem with mine but luckily i got them out with a bit of persuasion, made sure they had plenty of copper grease on when i put them back in!
