Midrange hesitations on an nc30

Post by royster81 » Sun Feb 12, 2012 11:39 am

I was chatting to a guy last week who was telling me about a hesitation his nc30 has in the mid range, from 5-7 k rpm but it clears and pulls like a train.

He told me its all standard, air box, filter, needles, setting, jets but still it runs poorly.

I'm guessing it's going to be missing the rubber flaps about the front head but until I see it I don't know but if they are there what else could it be ?

commin issue.usualky fixed by an extra washer under the needles to richen up the midrange. best to get it on a rolling road though to ser what the fuelling is actually doing though.

i would be checking emulsion tubes are in the correct order, also check the air filter is genuine honda and not a genuine copy, my copy made the 7k dip much worse.

He raised and lowered the needles and said itade no difference, I've done the same to mine in the past and preferred the standard single shim.

Paul, he claims the tubes are in the right holes but I'll double check everything to satisfy my curiousity but I never thought of the filter, good call.

When I removed the rubber flap from my Seed it had a massive hole around 7-8k.

I sorted it out by adding the rubber flap but placing the larger flap over the front head towards the forks as opposed to flipping it back towards the V and carbs inlet rubbers.

Might help.

yeah paul i made the same tool out of old back card and it does make the job simple, these are the things he said he has done but i want to check to see if they are done and done right.

kris, i think this is his problem but i need to see the bike first .

i think he is bring it up next sunday so we can look over it together but i want to have a few ideas of things first
