Installing Uprated Regulator
Hey guys. Just helping mate with his bike. Putting a new regulator and generator on his NC29. Have wired the genny to a new plug and installed that, just wondered about the new reg as wires are confusing me a little. Have bought one from electrex world and obviously the 3 yellow wires match up from genny to reg but from the new regulator there are 2 green and 2 red wires, whereas the old reg only had 2 green and one red with white stripe wire?
Do I have the correct regulator for the bike do you think? Mate got it from the website and was listed as an nc29 regulator I believe.
Anyone installed these or uprated their regs to a chunkier one?
Cheers all.
Rob

Re: Installing Uprated Regulator
You don't need to use all the pins.
I had a reg/rec from a CBR, then a ZXR and then a FZR on my racebike at the weekend with no trouble.
So long as you have the active power wire to the right pin, and the earth to the right pin (or the reg/rec itself earthed if thats how it works) then you'll be A okay.

Yep, red is active power, green is the earth.

Cheers mate. Will probably wire them up with a bit of customisation then.
Thanks.
