carb jetting
hi is the carb jetting guide by cammo relivent to a nc21zh

Everything aside from main jet size and needle codes is.
Both types of carbs are very similar.

iv got to clean my carbs so i might as well do a bit of fetling while im at it.

Don't drill the slides or shim the needles, you shouldn't need it.

hi has any one got any tips about getting them back on?.
im gonna buy some new carb rubbers but i am unsure i will be able to get them back on
iv heard nightmare storys. even from good bike mechanics about wot a b*****d thay are to get back on.
ps any one know the setting heights for the flowt bowls
thats why im stripping them.
thar over fueling badly strong smell ov fuel from the exaust .
hope the weather sorts it self out ive got to do this job
outside on the drive f*****g snow pi** off

It takes me about 2 minutes to put the carbs on if that.
The float heights should be 6.8mm.
Could be a leaking float if there overfuelling lots

apart from a visual (obvious damage to the float bowl) is there any other way to check them. cheers john

Since the tap is vaccum operated the fuel will shut off anyway.
If you put the carbs on a bench, use a pop-bottle etc for a temp fuel tank and fill the carbs up... they should stop taking petrol after a few seconds... if theres a leaking float, after a few minutes one of the carbs will be over-flowing.
Check the jets are clean / float heights are correct, pilot screws are set properly and the air filter is clean
