Was the rect/reg disconnected when you measured the voltage on the three yellow wires?

No thats fine, you'd be very unlikely to get 28v reading with it still connected anyhow.
New genny for a start, then you can test your reg/rec.
Electrexworld sell new ones for aroun 60gbp

Okay so i have just found out that is actually the stator that has gone completely there is continuity between the wires from it and the frame so the windings are knackered.
So does anyone know where i can get a new one or second hand one like this one.

its for an NC24 (obviously)
thanks

Also the NC24 uses 2 types, only the very very early ones had that genny, most use the same as the NC30

theres 2, MOST NC24's use the same one as the NC30, G72 type, which is more expensive.

Outer Diameter: 102mm Inner diameter: 42mm Thickness through hole: 14mm
* Note: We also sell another generator for the following bikes:
You need to measure the existing one ideally.
The G72 type is most common (the link I posted)
You originally posted G17
Outer Diameter: 92mm Inner diameter: 35mm Thickness through hole: 18mm
Notice it's much smaller.
G72 is 75.00gbp
