Hey everyone,
I have a short question: is it possible to fit another tyre size on the nc30? The standerd size is 150/60-18 but I was wondering whether it was possible to fit a 160/165?
Thanks!

Re: nc30 - tyre size
why?
a 150/60/18 is the correct size
If you are thinking that a 160/60/18 is "just going to be wider and look cool" then it won't. It looks like a balloon and in my opinion is not the best idea.
Get a BT92 on it in the right size..sorted.

Re: nc30 - tyre size
It is definitely not my intention to look 'cool'
(i prefer to stay low profile). But I was just wondering because i recently had a discussion with my father. He was convinced that when he drove the bike in the past a wider tyre size was installed. I had the opposite opinion because I assumed that when you install a wider tyre size, the tyre wouldn't fit anymore (e.g. in case of a 160/165).
The bike had a full revision recently (she stood still for about 9 years) and I installed the standard tyre size. I don't have the intention to install a wider tyre but it would be great to know whether it was possible or not.
Thanks!

Re: nc30 - tyre size
Hey, no worries!
It is possible to install a 160 though some brands of tyre can catch the chain. If you had a 17 inch RVF rear wheel you can fit a 160 there, which will also work very well too as the profile is better.
150 is the right size, no clearance issues and so on, though the tyres are getting a little harder to come by.

Re: nc30 - tyre size
I ran a 160/60/17 on my VFR and had no issues, but that was a 17 inch rim (obviously) A Mark (CMSMJ1) says, just keep to the 150/60 and you'll be grand.

Thanks! I will definitely keep the standard size (never change a winning team
).
Is there a big difference between the VFR's 18inch and the RVF's 17inch (e.g. handling)?
Grtz.
