Mods .. what mods are you guys up to at the mo ?

Mods .... anyone else doin any to their bikes at the mo ? I got plenty on to keep me busy :D

Me R1 is complete, mind you is a bike ever truly complete ?? am thinkin velocity stacks next, I just need to make sure this second battery on the R1 lasts then that bike is sorted for now, anything that could be replaced over the past 2 years has been, rides like new if not better :D

Me 400RR though is another story, gonna need a lot of tlc if am gonna bring it up to R1 standards, this is me spec so far for the 400RR :



• MAKE & MODEL: Suzuki GSX-R 400RR SP-2, 1990 GK73A, Black.
• WHEELS: Standard Wheels, Black Anti-Theft Valve Caps.
• TYRES: Pirelli Dragon SuperCorsa Pro, Front - 120/60 ZR17 @ 32psi, Rear - 150/60ZR17 @ 32psi, White Tyre Paint
• FINAL DRIVE: 14-Tooth Front Sprocket, 45-Tooth Rear Sprocket, Motrax Mechanical MPH Converter
• BRAKES: Goodridge Race Set-Up Stainless Steel Brake Lines, Renthal Medium Grips.
• BODYWORK: Black Race Screen, Custom Race Decals, Bright White Angel Eye Conversion, Ring Xenon Sportzblue HID Bulb Headlight Upgrade H4 80/100w, Superlux Super Bright 180 Degree LED Bulb Sidelight Upgrade T4W, T5 286 Bright White Instrument Panel Bulb Upgrade, Silver Evotech Paddock Stand Bobbins, Renthal Medium Grips, Hard-Wired Oxford Maximiser 360T Charger.

Thats just the mods added, not to mention new clutch cable, throttle cable etc etc etc ... but I won't stop with the 400RR until its had the R1 treatment and reaches that level of standards.

Heres a pic of what mods are due to go on, we have as follows :



• Power Boost - Engine De-coker, proven to add bhp and let engine run better
• Carb Cleaner - Gonna need this after I been squirting 600ml of Power Boost through the carbs
• ITG Megaflow Sock Filters - Release the power, next to come will be stage 3 jet kit
• ITG Sock Oil - Gotta oil those socks like you would any aftermarket filter, K&N etc
• HRC Race Brake Reservior - Gonna tidy the rear end of my bike up no end when I junk the original res in place for this, plus will look trick as hell

You can also see in the pic me waterproof folder with driving licence, aa card, phone, mini torch etc etc, I'll build this until am happy with it.

im currently tampering with my gsx-r400 to use on track and road, but in prosess of building
my nc30 special
list as follows

chassis: Standard polished nc30 frame, Standard polished swing arm, Tyga rearsets and dymag five spoke wheels
Front end:
marzocchi race and track forks, Jap 4 billet cnc machined top and bottom yokes with fitment kit, marzocchi Race clipons, Isr radial brake lever and matching clutch lever, HEL braided hoses, Isr radial 6 pot calipers/ probolt stainless mounting bolts, Brembo mini reservoir, isr fully floating race discs / probolt stainless disc bolts, Hrc over flow kit, Renthal grips, Probolt gold titanium top yoke nut and gold titaium fixings and translogic race dash
Rear end:
Nitron race shock, Stealth wavey disc, HEL braided hose, isr race caliper and mastercylinder, Renthal gold o-ring chain, Renthal aluminium sprockets/ probolt titanium sprocket nuts, Tyga rc211v rear subframe, Hrc rear reservoir titanium fixings all around
Bodywork:
Full Tyga rc211v bodykit, Black screen, Carbon rc211v mudguard, Carbon air scoop, Carbon exhaust hanger, Gold engine bolt kit, stainless fairing kit One off custom paintwork
Engine:
Standard motor, Hi flow air filter, hrc carb tray and jet kit, Full Tyga exhaust system, Tyga moto gp end can, R1 Q/A Throttle, Samco hoses, Silicone breather and overflow pipes and NOS nitrous oxide system with 10oz slimline bottle

aint got any good ones yet but ill be working on her tomorow prob so ill take a few but its still in the prosess of being built up.
also for got to add its got rick oliver race radiators top and bottom and a larger carbon air box.
but i will ad some pics over the weekend so you can have a look.

Hagon rear shock, newer set of front forks having got through 3 sets of fork seals on the old ones, general fettling and cleaning, a certain seat unit conversion. All looks a bit tatty now though, so a paint job is in the pipeline. GK76 btw.

hi gus sorry i aint added any pics yet, been busy trying to sort parts out isr are such a pain in the ass!! plus wheels seem to be taking for eva!

Drunken Monkey: well nos what is there to say??? its a upto 650cc wet kit with 10oz polished slimline bottle should add 20-30 bhp.
scary!!!! if i have the balls to push the button.

Might want to try to replace the bronze bushing in the stock forks they are what take up the forks bend when braking if they are bad seals wear out all the time
