Re: Show me your dampers?
Can't find any pics of mine fitted. I've since removed it as I found it to be of no advantage on the track - it was a little bit cumbersome. I tried mine both ways (normal and reverse, if you get what I mean), not much difference, but you get better knee clearance backwards. Although I'm not sure if it would fit that way on a road bike with lights.
I actually quite like muscling with a bike rather than have a damper do it for me! Depends on your suspension set-up though I guess.

I don't use one anymore on the track either, but I imagine on bumpy roads/circuits you might want one.

I tried it both ways also but ended up mounting it as below because it wouldn't clear the guages the other way around. With the modified steering stops it now works within the correct range.

Re: Show me your dampers?
I think you can mount it either way. I have seen dampers mounted both ways on different kinds of bikes. If I mounted mine the other way the damper rod hits the guages. On a race bike with no guages or headlights it would work the other way around. Mine works fine this way but with full left hand lock the end of it pokes out. Not a problem, just more of a cosmetic issue.

Re: Show me your dampers?
mine did hit the guages but i just lowered the clamp on the forks so it cleared them, thinking outside the box

Re: Show me your dampers?
Hey! I just happen to live in that box!
I thought about lowering it also but then it would not be perpendicular to the frame and might bind up on the Helm joint on the ends. Either way is fine, as long as it works. Cheers.
